The Danish Financial Supervisory Authority (FSA) warns against Amber clone business.
The Danish FSA warns against Amber because it claims to be an investment firm authorized to trade CFDs (differential contracts) of assets from currencies, commodities, indices and cryptocurrencies.
On its website, the company refers to Amber Fondsmæglerselskab A/S, which, however, ceased in 2011 as a result of a merger with another financial company. The former investment firm was authorized to operate in a number of other countries. There is reason to believe that the common names is used as marketing by Amber.
Amber has the website https://amber-am.com/ and phone number +45 78724517.
According to the website, the company operates out of Denmark at Strandvejen 163, 2900 Hellerup, Denmark. This is the same address used by the former Amber Fondsmæglerselskab A/S.
The Danish FSA calls for caution when trading financial instruments, as there are an increasing number of companies trying to scam.
The Danish FSA's business register contains information on which companies are authorized to offer financial services in Denmark. The Danish FSA's website also contains information on identifying fraud companies and how to avoid them, under Avoid fraud.
